QuickClip's editor window sometimes 'disappears' behind other windows and I can't find it in my Windows taskbar
QuickClip is designed to take up as less space as possible in your working environment. That is why it doesn't take up valueable space in your taskbar. Should you 'lose' the editor window, simply double-click QuickClip's icon in the Systray (or use ALT+TAB to switch between windows).
Why doesn't QuickClip store formatting or data in other (multimedia) formats like Windows' clipboard does?
First of all; it wasn't intended to do and it is uncertain if it ever will be. Because of it's online nature and ability to hold lots of groups and items we do not support storing anything other than plain text because it would slow down QuickClip's ability to retrieve the data from your account from our servers. Also it would cost a huge amount of storage (and thus money).
I have a problem using QuickClip or accessing my account!
Fill in the feedback form. Make sure you enter all relevant information (QuickClip version (see title bar), your Windows version, error numbers/messages etc.). Don't send 'HELP! It doesn't work! Now what?' as we can't offer help to these kind of questions.
How can I run QuickClip from an USB stick?
All you need to do to run QuickClip from an USB stick is to copy the application folder (usually C:\program files\quickclip) to your USB stick and you're ready to go. Note that QuickClip does not store any account information in it's application folder; this means that you will have to login on 'new' PC's when running QuickClip from an USB stick (or other medium).
What is this '.Net framework' and why do I need it?
QuickClip was built using .Net Framework technology; it does not function without it. Most modern computers have the .Net framework installed. It is free for download (see the download link at the home page).
I have a great idea for QuickClip! Where can I request new features?
Have a look at the feedback page, fill it in and pray.
QuickClip just crashed/burned my computer down/ate my homework!
Too bad. Have a look at our license (see home) and try filling in the feedback form. Hope for the best, expect nothing.
How about the safety of my data?
QuickClip uses Rijndael encryption to encrypt the contents of your items since version 2.0.4. Your data is stored in encrypted form at our servers and sent and received in encrypted form to and from your computer. Since the first release QuickClip has been using an MD5 hash to store your password. Your credentials are stored in a secured database on your computer. You won't notice anything of this; all you need is a valid username and password. Keep in mind that regular password policies apply in QuickClip too; choose a safe password!
What does QuickClip cost?
Nothing. Zero. Zip. Nil.
How is QuickClip licensed?
Have a look at the home page; it has some information on it about licensing.
Where can I download the 'ultimate' or 'enterprise' or 'pro' edition?
The what?
I got blocked/banned?
We reserve the right to block/ban users, accounts, computers and other objects to use the QuickClip servers. If you got blocked, QuickClip wil most probably display why (and optionally any expiry dates of the ban). Any abuse of our service will be reported and accounts, IP's etc. will be blocked accordingly. Set up your own QuickClip servers (see Did you know...?). Also have a look at the next question (<hint>) that might help get you unblocked or unbanned.
I love QuickClip! Can I make a donation?
Sure, have a closer look at the home page.
